Just Like A Beat
Absolute Elsewhere began as a set of bedroom songs in 2002 by Travis Cooper, of Austin, TX. After performing with and writing songs for various projects including John Wesley Coleman, ((sounder)), and DA! Theatre Group, he was a founding member of the surf group The Avocados.
Absolute Elsewhere returns in 2026 with the EP “Nobody Knows”, a collection of songs written about pandemic heartbreak, the yearning of new love, and personal resilience.
